Who Needs A Dog's Life

Yet another working Sunday. So we decided to take it differently.
At 11am, two of us hit Cafe Churchill near Regal, Colaba.
They were cleaning up. And we were the first to stroll in.
Sausage-stuffed omelettes, toast and coffee were happily consumed.
The chap at the counter informed us he also delivered parcels to our office area.
Armed with take-away menus, we hit office at Nariman Point by noon.
Ideas arrive faster on a sated-stomach.
And leave you hungry again.
The take-away menu was quickly scanned.
Burgers were ordered in bulk for the entire team. This time we decided to get them delivered.
The burgers arrived. More ideas followed.
As the team swung into execution mode, I took a smoke-break.
And spotted this canine chap right outside Nirmal.
In his sleep, the fellow rolled over, and stayed motionless on his back for a good 5 mins. Then rolled back to his original position.
The image was a statement.
An acerbic poster on the wall.
A middle finger thrust in the face of the slaving class.
A t-shirt that made you think thrice.
I went back up to the office. We hung around for couple of hours before splitting for the day.
It was dark when we got out. The canine chap had disappeared.
I am home now. And I still can’t get the doggoned question out of my head.
WTF are we working for?
