This website, rahuljauhari.com, is the personal site of Rahul Jauhari (“I”, “me”, “my”). This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, and what choices you have. I keep the site simple, and collect only what is needed to run it and to reply to people who get in touch.

Who is responsible

Rahul Jauhari is responsible for the personal data handled through this site. For any question, request or complaint about your data, write to rahul@flibbrconsulting.com (Bengaluru, India).

What I collect

Information you give me through the enquiry form. When you use the contact form, you provide your name, email address and message, and optionally your organisation and the topic of your enquiry. I use this only to read and respond to your message.

Information collected automatically (analytics). Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics 4 (added through the Google Site Kit plugin) to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and the general type of device and browser used. This is collected using cookies. Google uses your IP address to estimate your approximate location (typically city or country level); in Google Analytics 4, Google states that it does not log or store your IP address. I see this only as aggregated statistics, not as a way to identify you.

Server logs. The web host records standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type and the time of each request) in server logs, which help keep the site secure and running. This is normal for any website.

How your information is used

I use the information above to respond to enquiries, to keep the site secure and working, and to understand and improve how the site is used. I do not sell your personal data, and I do not use it for advertising or to build marketing profiles.

Cookies

This site uses only analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics. It does not use advertising or marketing cookies. For the full list and how to control them, see the Cookie Policy.

Who else processes your data

I use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site:

  • Google — Google Analytics for site statistics, and Google Workspace (Gmail) to deliver enquiry-form messages to my inbox.
  • A2 Hosting — website hosting and server logs. The site is hosted on servers that may be located outside India.

These providers process data on my behalf, or as independent controllers under their own terms, and may store or process data outside your home country. I do not share your information with anyone else except where required by law.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry messages for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ retention settings. Server logs are kept on a short, rolling basis by the host.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data — including to ask for a copy of it, to have it corrected or completed, to have it deleted, and to withdraw consent you have given. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you also have the right to grievance redressal and to nominate another person to exercise your rights. If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection.

Children

This site is intended for a general professional audience and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact me and I will delete it.

I may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected here.
